Jaime Fennelly's (peeeseye/Phantom Limb & Bison/peeinmyfacewithsurgery) second solo release "Ain't No Grave Gonna Hold My Body Down" (DeepFriedTapes05) consists of two substantially proportioned 10 minute tracks of solitary isolationism. The buzz killing, teeth scraping, heavy drilling of side A pushes you deeper and deeper into the unforgiving gritty dark earth below. Side B is more of a resurrection through artificial resuscitation - an excerpt from Fennelly's disembodied performative ritual "Little brownies, little brownies, your mistress is dead.", a harmonium-based acoustic drone slowly dissolves while enticing the levitation process to begin.
Amazingly stamped packaging and red cassette with a drawing by Fritz Welch adds to this cassette's crazed out vibe which definitely leaves you somewhere suspended within the middle brain.
