for the spring: The Peeesseye will be peforming at midnight
on Friday, May 16 at Festival
International de Musique Actuelle de Victoriaville (FIMAV)
in Victoriaville, Quebec. This'll be The Peeesseye's
first Canadian show ever. Look for a few other dates
around the Northeast at that time as well, including
May 20 in Philly with KTL and May 21at Zebulon in Brooklyn

shortly.
Also, Chris Forsyth's first full length solo record
Live Journal at the Mice Machine VIP Dance Floor
is finished and will be out on CD on Incunabulum
by late winter or early spring. It's seven tracks were
recorded over the last six months of 2007. The material
spans elegiac solo 12-string acoustic guitar numbers,
overtone laden workouts featuring layers of organ, keyboards,
and drum machine, and the cascading rhythms and highly
unusual tuning schemes of the multi-tracked guitar pieces
which begin and end the record. Live Journal at
the Mice Machine VIP Dance Floor will be Chris
Forsyth's first solo release since 1998's long out of
print 071797/1025977 inch. The cover image is going to be this portrait

Happy New Year!
Chris Forsyth is going to be in Minneapolis next week,
performing solo at the Bryant Lake Bowl on Jan 6 and
then doing six shows of Everyone at the Walker
Art Center with Miguel Gutierrez & the Powerful
People Jan 9-12. MGPP will then be doing three more
performances of Everyone at Dance Theater Workshop
in NYC Jan 13-14.
"At a time when
so much art lacks a heartbeat, Mr. Gutierrez’s
chest pounds. “Everyone,” his newest dance
for his group, the Powerful People, is another adrenaline
burst, smart and moving and full of questions, the way
only real art can be." - Claudia La Rocco, NY Times
